AI that actually
lands in daily work.
Most AI projects don't fail on the technology — they fail on integration. We don't just advise you: we build it with you, train your team, and stay until it runs. Strategy from a former Chief AI Officer, implementation from a developer who has worked with these tools since day one.
- Strategy
- Marie Kilg — former Chief AI Officer at Deutsche Welle, former Senior Product Manager at Amazon Alexa, host of ARD's “Der KI-Podcast”.
- Implementation
- Julian Kilg — developer and automation builder. Ships agents, workflows and tools your team actually uses on Monday.
- How we work
- Two people you always deal with, plus a network across law, organisational development and IT when it's needed. Vendor-independent.

01
Why us
We won't sell you a tool. We'll also tell you where AI is the wrong answer.
The market is full of consultancies with software to move. We're tied to no vendor and earn nothing on licences. That means we can tell you honestly which three processes are worth it — and which twelve you can skip.
Marie built AI strategy and governance from zero in an organisation with thousands of staff, advising up to Director General level. Julian builds the things other people give talks about. Together we cover both ends: the decision and the execution.

A
Strategy & governance
Where does AI genuinely pay off in your organisation — and where doesn't it? We look at processes, data, law and structure before anyone mentions a tool.

03
Who we work with
Organisations where more than efficiency is at stake.
We work best where AI isn't only meant to cut costs but to serve a mandate — and where data protection, accountability and how the team feels about it are real requirements, not a formality.
Non-profits
Associations and charitable organisations with small teams and large remits. Every hour freed up goes straight back into the actual work.
Foundations
Application review, reporting, knowledge management. A lot of text, a lot of repetition, high demands on care and traceability.
Public institutions
Authorities, chambers, universities and cultural institutions — with everything that comes with data protection, procurement and accessibility.
Values-driven companies
Owner-led businesses that want to use AI without losing their culture, and that want honest advice rather than a licence offer.
What we don't do
- No legal advice. We work with your legal team and your data protection officer, but we don't replace them.
- No software reselling. We're tied to no vendor and take no commissions.
- No training our own models. There are specialists for that, and in almost every case you don't need it.
- No projects without an internal counterpart. Without someone on your side who owns the topic, none of this holds up.

The two of us
Marie
Kilg
Strategy · Governance · Leadership sparring
Marie has worked with AI since 2017 — long before it was a business model. At Amazon she was Senior Product Manager for Alexa's German personality and the launch roadmap for German-speaking markets. As Chief AI Officer at Deutsche Welle she built the AI team, strategy and governance from scratch and advised up to Director General level. She hosts ARD's “Der KI-Podcast” and in 2022 — months before ChatGPT — published the first non-human columnist in a German newspaper.

Julian
Kilg
Implementation · Automation · Training
Julian comes from the user side and started automating his own work early. Today he builds exactly that for organisations — agents, internal assistants, process automation and web applications. He tests new AI tools from day one, which is why he knows what actually works today and what is marketing. His edge: he explains technology so that people without an IT background actually use it.

Our network
Stay small. Still cover everything.
You always work directly with the two of us — no account lead fronting for three people you never meet. That's the point of a boutique: short paths, fast decisions, someone on the call who actually holds the context.
When a project needs specialist knowledge we don't have ourselves, we bring it in — from a settled group of professionals we've worked with for years. Always transparently, always with your agreement, always coordinated by us. You get the depth without paying for a large consultancy's overhead.
→
Law & compliance
Specialist lawyers for IT law, data protection, copyright and employment law — for anything that goes beyond our assessment and needs to hold up.
→
Organisational development
When AI shifts roles, processes and responsibilities, it quickly becomes a change question. We have experienced people in the network for exactly that.
→
IT, security & infrastructure
For on-premise deployment, system architecture, identity management and security audits we work with specialist partners and with your own IT.
Network partners are brought in per project and only by prior agreement. Responsibility for direction and outcome stays with us.

Process
01
Intro call
30 minutes, free, no obligation. You describe the situation, we tell you honestly whether we're the right fit.
02
Assessment
We review processes, data and team, then deliver a prioritised list: what's worth doing, what can wait, what you should drop.
03
Pilot
One clearly scoped use case, built and in production — not a slide deck, a running system.
04
Scale & handover
Roll out, train the team, embed the policies. You should be able to carry on yourselves — we stay where you want us, not where you have to have us.
08
How we use AI ourselves
If you recommend AI, you should say how you use it yourself.
We think an AI consultancy should say how it works with these tools itself. We use AI assistants for research, drafts and code — within the same limits we recommend to our clients.
We don't put personal data from your projects into tools without a contractual basis. Where we work with your data on your behalf, we sign a data processing agreement first. We disclose which providers we use on a project up front so your data protection officer can review it.
This website itself processes nothing with AI. Enquiries through the form are read by us personally.
09
FAQ
What does it cost?
The intro call is free. After that we work with day rates or fixed prices for clearly scoped packages — the guide figures are further up this page. Following the intro call you get a concrete proposal with scope, price and timeline.
We're not a tech company. Are we too small or too analogue?
No. Most of our work happens in organisations where nobody has a technical background. That's exactly what this setup is built for: we translate between what's technically possible and what actually works in your day-to-day.
What about data protection and the EU AI Act?
It's part of the work, not an appendix. Marie built AI governance inside a public-service broadcaster — under exactly the data protection, IT security and accountability requirements that apply to you. We work with your data protection officer, not around them, and sign a data processing agreement before touching personal data. We don't replace legal counsel.
Do you resell software?
No. We're tied to no vendor and take no commissions. We recommend what fits your situation — including when the answer is “you don't need AI for this”.
Do we get both of you or just one?
It depends on the project. Marie leads on strategy and leadership topics, Julian on implementation — most engagements involve both. Either way you deal with us directly, not with a team hidden behind us.
How long does a project take?
A first working pilot usually stands within two to six weeks. Strategy and governance work runs over one to two quarters. Workshops are one- or two-day formats.
Do you work in English and remotely?
Yes to both. We work in German and English and remotely across Europe. For workshops and kick-offs we're happy to come on site.
Can we use public funding for this?
Often yes. There are federal and state programmes for digitalisation and training, and non-profits can frequently cover consulting and training costs from project budgets. We know the usual routes but don't assess eligibility bindingly — that stays part of your own fund management.
