We work a lot with public institutions and non-profits. So it seems only right that our own site should be usable — with a keyboard, a screen reader or enlarged type.

Standard we aim for

We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, conformance level AA. As a private company we are not legally bound by the German accessibility regulations; we apply the standard voluntarily.

What is in place

The whole site can be operated by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator throughout.
A skip link at the top jumps straight to the content.
Text colours meet a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 against the background.
Consistent heading structure and named landmarks.
All images carry alternative text; decorative elements are hidden from screen readers.
The „reduce motion“ system setting is respected: the ticker and smooth scrolling switch off.
Content stays readable up to 200 percent zoom without horizontal scrolling.
Form fields are labelled, required fields are marked, and feedback is announced.
Known limitations

Large headings are set in capitals. That is a design decision, but it can reduce readability for some people.
PDF downloads are not yet fully tagged for accessibility. We will supply the content in an accessible format on request.
